Happy New Year - 2010

Every year since 1990, I have been sending a picture for the new year.
This image was shot at the end of a shooting day for the magazine "Le Monde de l'Optique".
Grace Cairn (the model) and Giordano Pierini (the hair & make-up artist) did a great job and were real fun to work with. The stylist, Olivia Portaud, has found for us these amaizing pieces of knitted metal by Simon Azoulay.
I have sent it to all my contacts as a greeting card for 2010.

After Pina Bausch passed away in June 2009, her dance company is back in Paris

I try not to miss any of her shows.
The company performed last week for the first time in Paris after her death. Big emotion.

Editor's Choice by Canon

Magdalena Herrera, director of photography at GEO France and former Art Director at National Geographic France, has reviewed the 4,400 photos (from 721 photographers) received in the first edition of Editor's Choice organnized by Canon. One of my photos shot in Orissa (India) for my book project "The Smiles of India" was among her 40 favourite images.
Good isn't it?
